Homework (PB)
I hate doing homework. I rather spend my time doing nothing and sleep. Why do we get homework? I love when classes dont give homework on the weekend. Some classes i enjoy doing the homework. Classes like pre calc or government. When i get english homework it just drains me. I hate reading the heart of darkness. It makes me feel like i cant read. That book uses a lot of SAT. I also dont like doing the grammar rules or the essays. Even though i hate doing my homework i still get them done. It may take a while to get completed but as long as it gets done. I make sure to get all of my work done so that im able to pass my classes and play on the team.

This Week In The Life Of Drissa(FC)
This week in my life has been a little weird. This week the TMA Panthers had basketball tryouts for both Varsity nd Junior Varsity teams. Before the tryouts the varsity team has been havin many preseason games. On the team that we had for preseason we had a couple of freshman that we have been with since the begining of the summer. I have formed bonds with these freshman and was lookin foward to spending more time with them. As tryouts began you can see all of the many different groups and cliques form. The first day of tryouts not many people were able to tryout because of missing paper work. Watching the other guys tryout because i was one of the people with missing paper work i got to see a lot of the new guys work and play and see where they would fit in. There was it a lot of new faces i didnt see before in TMA. After all of the tryouts the list was put up on monday. On that list many of the people i had formed bonds with names weren't up there. There were names of people that i knew but never really spoke to now those were the people i had to go to war with for a year. This new Varsity team left many of the veteran players confused because this had never happen before. All of the teams chemistry was gone. This week we also had our first team practice. This was one of the most quite i herd the gym ever. Those new players had to catch up and fit in to our system and form bonds with us. As practice went on the more out of sync we were. Haven't not played with these new players to now having to be with them the majority of my time has really thrown my whole vibe out and my week very weird.

The Importance Of Technology (FR)
Technology is very important in everyday life. As we evolve so does the technology we use. By technology i dont mean computers and cell phones or electronics. Those are just examples of technology. The definition of technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purpose. This definition basically means anything you use to help you do other tasks or make them simple. The invention of the spoon is one of the most basic technological break through. The first spoon was carved out of wood. Today you can find many different varieties of the spoon. Today you can find spoons that are combined with forks or with holes in them for when you are cooking with greese. Today many people hear technology and think of computers and electronics. As we evolve we use technology more and more. We went from using the sun to tell time to using watchs with phone capabilities. Todays tech is very complicated, everything is touch screen and controlled by there self. Some phones are so advanced that you dont even need to unlock it to use it. As we get older and older our use of technology will grow and so will the desire for new inventions. Technology will continue to grow and get more complex.

Pre Calc (ID)
Durring this week of pre calculus class we have been learning how to factor by completing the square. In this process we also learned a thing called adding zero. At first we were all stunned and thought there was no way you can add a zero. Ms.Rios teaches us in steps. First she teaches us how to complete the square. Completing the square is another form of factoring. Its not the easiest way but its a sure proof way that you get the right answer. There are many steps to completing the square. First you have set the equation to zero. After that you subtract or add the constent to the zero side. The constent is the number with out a variable. The new equation should be a ax+bx=c. Once you have that you have to divide the b by two then square that number. That would give you the new c. You would then have to add that number to the other side of the equation. You would then have to find the factors then find the square roots of both sides. The process of adding zero is a whole nother process after you have done this. To add zero you would need to add nd subtract the new C at the same time. You only have to do this when you are being asked for points on a graph. You also would have to add zero when A is not 1.

Pasionate Blog
I can not wait till the NBA season starts. I can not wait because I need to get some new moves from my favorite athletes. I also can not wait till I get to see the Miami Heat celebrate there championship with the fans and have the ring ceremony on the Heats home opener. I also can’t wait to see all the newly rebuilt teams try to make their championship runs and dethrone the champion Heat. I strongly feel that Miami is going to win it all again. I feel this way because Miami has the greatest player on earth in which is LeBron James. LeBron James is my favorite basketball player. I’ve been a fan since I seen him play his first NBA game back in 2003. I watched and modeled my own personal game after his. From his first game till now I have seen the difference in his game, attitude, and body. As the years went on and LeBron continued to get bigger and bigger and I wasn’t my game changed. I started playing against guys that were bigger then I so my LeBron moves that I was watching on TV wasn’t going to work on them. I began watching other athletes play and I started studying their games along with the way LeBron James play. I started to watch guys that had the same type of body as me like Kevin Durant and his long arms. Kevin Durant became my new idol along with LeBron and I started watching how he played and used his long arms to get what he wanted. This helped me because for my height and age my arms exceed my "normal" body size. I started to watch many of his games to add some of the things I seen him do and add it to my game. As the years went on and seasons have passed vie leaner allot of my moves and how I play the game today. Another person that influenced me is Stephan Curry. He has influenced me because watching him play and seeing how well he shoots the ball made me want to shoot more and develope that part of my game more. Today I can base my game on those players and many more by the end of this NBA season.

Class Related Response
In class we read the poem "On Being Brought From Africa to America". In the poem she talks about her transition from being a pagan to a Christian. In class we discussed what a pagan was, to be a pagan means to be a non Christian. We broke down the poem line by line to see the literal aspects of the poem. We also learned about the historical theory behind the poem. In class we learned that Phillis Wheatley, the author was a slave brought here in the slave trade and converted to Christianity. In the poem she also talks how her skin color affects her life amongst those that are white. As a class we discussed the what she really wanted to say. Towards the end of the poem she says that "remember,Christians, negros, black as Cain may be re'fin'd and join th' angelic train." Really stood out to me because she is erasing the color barrier and anything else that makes people different from each other. That line erases those barriers and said that it don't matter because heaven doesn't have any color restraints or any reason to turn anyone that didn't sin away. She is saying that skin color don't mater because we are all Christians and are going to heaven. Another line that stood out to me is the line that she said "their colour is a diabolic die". That also stood out because she was taking from the view of someone else saying thine things about her. The meaning of diabolic means to be evil or bad. Today a classmate brought up the fact that maybe back then the meaning of die was used to mean dye as the color not to die. That really stood out because she was saying how people think back then and how she used different words for different meanings.

Ball Is Life
My passion for basketball is like no other. Ever since I learned the basics of the sport, I couldn't stop playing. As the years went on I started to fall deeper and deeper into the sport. I learned everything there is to know even the year it was invented and the inventor. Dr. James Naismith was a genius. The first few years basketball was played with a peach basket and someone to stand on a later to get the ball when someone scores. As years went on the game evolved to what it is now that attracts millions of people to watch each year. I love basketball because its a way to meet new people and exercise. I also love it because of all perks that come with being on the team.
